Winter Boot Trend: Rugged Ankle Boots with Fluffy Fur & Shearling

Winter Boot Trend: Rugged Ankle Boots with Fluffy Fur & Shearling

It's winter boot season again & nothing makes me happier than a warm pair of winter boots on my feet during the snowy, frosty days! Who's with me?

Trendy 2018 Winter Ankle Boots:

Although winter boots are no stranger to sheepskin & fur, a specific trend has popped up for winter 2018. What shoe trend, you ask? Well, the fur & shearling — whether faux or not — is being seen in less of a trim capacity & more of a lace liner.

And the more puffiness, the better! The boots are more casual, rugged with combat boot detailing even for 2018 & are most trendy in ankle boot format.

Don't be fooled: these can be seriously warm. And I love the breakaway from higher boots to a lower boot. They're more practical to get around in, not to mention less bulky. Luckily, some of the best Canadian winter boot brands have designed some nifty styles, as you can see from this post!

I have a pair of Dani suede sneakers from Cougar Boots (featured in the main image) & I love how I can wear a sneaker-like boot on frigid days and not have to worry about cold, wet toes! Can't wait to style these soon (but check out some other winter boot styling here!).

You can snag your own low, rugged plush-lace lined winter booties from various retailers & brands. Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Saks & Saks OFF 5th have a great variety and priced anywhere between 150-over 1k.

Yes, 1K, if you're partial to furry ankle boots from Louboutin! Worth the click to look at these marvellous boots, right here! Shop some faves below:

What's your take on ankle winter boots? Would you wear them, or do you prefer knee-high boots for winter?

I love the designs of your winter boots. I think this is the right time to purchase one of those products.
