So the majorly drawn-out wait to see the new pieces, looks, shoes & accessories from Isabel Marant for H&M collaboration has finally come to an end, as an apparent “leak” of 23 look book pages has been revealed via The Fashion Spot. Just thought I'd mention this, in case you've been living under a rock for the past 15hrs.
What do I think of the clothes? If they feel as good as they look, they're a pretty darn exact match to Marant's Parisian laid-back, je-ne-sais-quoi style that has had models as well as regular folk fawning over her creations every season.
I'm particularly loving the ornate blazer, what seems to be a light chiffon rushed dress and the beaded pumps. Kudos to bringing her angular, pointed toe boot design from Fall/Winter 2012 to the masses. I'm usually not a fan of tassels, but I'd definitely take a walk in these black boots !
As per the grey suede slouch boots with chain detail? Not a fan. At All. These seem like something one of Snow White's elves would wear. I'm betting on Grumpy to have first dibs, as they have a bit of a sad look to them, don't cha think?
I'm actually rather upset Marant's signature (and always sold out!) “Beckett” black wedge sneaker wasn't tacked onto this collection. I guess H&M just wasn't feeling them as I still am. Well, looks like I might have to drop into Holt Renfrew to pay full price 'em this time around. *SIGH*
What do YOU think of the collection? The Shoes…thoughts?
