I was on the lookout for a style-friendly, easy to slip on/off (aka 3rd trimester belly-friendly!) boots or shoes with some punch & found my perfect match in a Strategia Spring 2012 pair from Holt Renfrew in Toronto, Canada. Not only are these comfortable, but they’re beautifully made of the softest distressed leather ever. Ok, maybe not “ever”, as in the softest ever known to man, but it is the butteriest leather my hands have come across in a while!
And with their gorgeous grey shade & detachable leather/chain detail, these are the perfect down time, scurrying-around-any-Canadian-city boots. You know, when there isn’t too much snow kicking around!

Freak-Shoe Friday – Let the 70s just, Be

As it’s Solestruck’s motto to “rid the world of ugly shoes“, I often wonder what the heck goes through their buyers’ minds when they pick up a shoe such as Jeffrey Campbell’s “R Bright” sandals, pictured above. Are they simply being ironic?
I don’t know about you, but I’m rather bury the 70s in the past, rather than re-resurrect the era’s repulsive shoe style (particularly the tacktastically ugly flatforms that plagued those times!).

Exclusive to United Nude, these crazy peep-toe stilettos created in wonderfully lush colors & materials (loving the rich royal blue suede & the gold-washed turquoise) will be available at unitednude.com for Spring 2012.
These heels remind me of something otherworldly; deep within the sea. Definitely something that would be worn by the those living in an underwater Atlantis. You know, if living in water required platform shoes! Hopefully retailers in Canada will have these readily available. Calling out Balisi in Toronto to have these in stock
