Red Carpet Shoes from 2015 People's Choice Awards

So the award shoes shows have begun & I’ve been anticipating which 2015 red carpet shoes would be trending this year! From the 2015 People’s Choice Awards, we see some old footwear trends & some new. All shoes, pumps & sandals were high in heel height & perfectly paired with a fabulous outfit! Well, most were, anyhow 😉 Let’s take a look at the prettiest celebrity shoes rounding out the top 5 red carpet shoe trends from last night’s awards show. See them after the jump!

5 Shoe Trends at the 2015 People’s Choice Awards

1. Black Pointed Toe Pumps

It might be an office & “commoner” staple, but high heel, pointed toe pumps were all the rage on the red carpet last night. It’s a fab alternative to the minimal sandal & can either be worn almost as a camouflage-type shoe with a black dress or gown, or act as a contrast accessory with a light or white outfit. Above are the prettiest shoe & dress pairings featuring matte black & patent pointy pumps! And yes, all ladies happen to be wearing black/white outfits, yet each style is so individual. Of course, black pumps look perfect with each!  From the left, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting in a Peggy Hartanto black/white dress & Jimmy Choo satin pumps. Olivia Munn stunned in a striped sequin dress & Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps. Ginnifer Goodwin wore a all-white frock by Delphine Manivet. Country singer Hillary Scott opted to wear her black pointed pumps with a scribbly side slit dress by Yigal Azroue.

2. Black Strappy Sandals

As outlined in the Spring 2015 runway shoe trends, mega strappy shoes will be the IT shoe style for the coming spring summer. And I absolutely love them. These fashionable ladies opted for black ornate or more simplistic black strappy sandals & the results were phenomenal. Talk about not letting your outfit get all of the attention! From left: Kat Dennings in a Ludmila Corlateanu gown & Jimmy Choo sandals; Bellamy Young in Philosophy Alberta Ferretti & Rene Caovilla;  Katharine McPhee in Balmain & Camilla Luddington in a flowy floral Pamella Roland dress & Jerome C. Rousseau heels.

3. Light-hued Pointed Toe Pumps

Yes, more pointed toes pumps! Instead of black, these celebrities chose white, beige & blush tones to complete their People’s Choice Awards outfits. On the left, Giuliana Rancic wore a beautiful mint green Tony Ward gown with suede & PVC Gianvito Rossi pumps. Portia de Rossi topped her amazing cobalt blue Zuhair Murad jumpsuit off with nude stiletto heels by Giuseppe Zanotti. In a white mini dress & pink ankle strap/PVC pumps, Stephanie Bauer looked less dressy than the rest, but no less darling. Molly Tarlov wore an unfortunate bright blue ensemble, but at least her white pointy-toe pumps were hot!

4. Metallic High Heels

Lots of shine and mirror effects going on with these red carpet shoes. Whether strappy sandals, stiletto heels or pointed pumps, these celebs slipped metallics onto their feet! Gina Rodriguez wore a painterly plaid sleeveless dress with shiny blue pumps. Kristen Bell opted for a hot pink frilly number with spectacular silver Louboutin mirror pumps. Shaun Robinson chose a metallic t-strap heel for her LBD & Beth Behrs paired her purple Juan Carlos Obando dress with beautiful Giuseppe Zanotti gold sandals which criss-crossed at the ankle. Gotta love those shiny red carpet shoes!

5. The Minimalist Sandal

Minimal Sandals Choice Awards

And of course, no red carpet shoe trend would be complete without the minimal sandal on the list! As a star favorite, it’s not surprise that 3 celebs are pictured above, wearing the hottest red carpet shoe of 2014 Stuart Weitzman‘s Nudist sandal. Sarah Hyland matched her metallic Nudists with a Christian Siriano beaded semi-sheer dress. Renee Bargh, far right, paired her shoes to her skin tone, resulting in a perfect nude heel for her. Her bustier bodycon dress is designed by Misha Collection.Far left, Anna Faris wore her Jimmy Choo Minny sandals with an amazingly flouncy white outfit by Rani Zakhem. This was by far my fave head-to-shoe look of the evening! The younger modern family star, Ariel Winter, sported a perfect black tuxedo gown with a pair of barely-there black sandals from Aldo. A black pedicure completed the look!
