It was time for a statement shoe & purse. Well ok, another one of each ๐Ÿ˜‰ Apparently I’m not even close to being over bejewelled shoes. And felt the need to add a pair of less summery looking heels to my pre-Fall collection. And of course, a bag to go with!

Nine West Pearl Heels with Feathers, Pearl Clutch & White Dress

Feather & Pearl Heels: c/o Nine West Canada. Pearl Clutch: c/o Nine West Canada. White Dress: Black Halo. Nail Polish: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel  in Pink Cadillaquer

These grey high heels with feathers & pearls were the first pair of catch my eye upon entering Nine West Canada the other week. Not sure if you caught my Insta Stories or tweets on my adventure, but it was quite the shoe shopping experience!

The Nine West brand in Canada has so many beautiful shoes, purses & accessories this season, ranging from the very simple to the extremely ornate. The latter is fairly descriptive of their current Modern Opulence collection, which is my absolute favorite. It’s so rich in patterns, lush fabrics & detailing!

I picked these “Aaronita” sandals for a variety of reasons, the first one being the perfect grey color. I’ve always had a love affair with every shade between dove grey & charcoal since fashion design school, and my love for it has obviously not lessened!

But back to the shoes: I love how they are so ornate (I mean, pearls, rhinestones and feathers all together, people!) yet are so wearable. This is partly due to the soft grey hue & partly because of how the detailing is centered on the upper heel. This makes them the perfect statement heels to wear for kicks with a great pair of jeans & simple top, with a more formal dress, or even to your own wedding! They are the perfect shoes to wear with a white dress for that perfect street style capture ๐Ÿ˜‰ Bonus points for these sandals fitting my slim feet to a tee, which most shoes do not. So for you narrow-footed ladies, these sandals are for you!

I don’t usually perfectly match my shoes to my purses, but I still want them to pair well together. That’s why I love how this silver pearl clutch ties well into pearl “theme” of the heels so to speak, without being overtly matchy-matchy. This little clutch is a lot roomier than you’d think & the added strap is a nice touch if you prefer to carry it on your shoulder. It also comes in black for you Torontonians ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now let’s talk about this Black Halo by Laurel Berman dress, shall we? I spotted it last week at Anthropologie during their extra 40% off tag price sale . I was drawn to it’s shape, fabric & design. It reminded me of Roland Mouret’s first designs. And the fact that there was only one, in my size, added to the intrigue. It wasn’t after I peeled off the sales stickers that I realized my inexpensive little dress was only so because it had been marked down over 90%. I was shocked. In a very good way! I’ve since Googled the brand & oh my goodness, I’ve completely fallen for this amazing clothing brand that you can snag at Shopbop

Will you be wearing pearl heels with feathers and/or a pearl clutch into the Fall season?
